That’s why each week we’ll provide a tip to help you through the process of redecorating, remodeling or moving.
This week’s advice comes from Michele Catoire, mortgage professional at Envoy Mortgage about being prepared and pre-approved.
You’re ready to move forward and buy a new house. That probably means you’ll need a loan. Before you can go forward, you’ll need to provide your loan officer with a look back at a 2-year work history, income and financial analysis and address history for the past two years. Get access to your paystubs and W-2/1099 forms and be specific in knowing your actual income. The same goes for address history. Don’t just estimate you’ve lived in a home for two years. Be specific and know the month and dates you moved. The same is true for when you started your job. Knowing if it’s actually 24 months or if it’s 19 months makes a difference. Accuracy is important!
